I am madly in love with design and particularly interior design. I started noticing how to make my bedroom cuter when I was seven and began longing for a Pink and French Blue room (oh how I loved those colors! seriously;)). I quickly moved onto our living room and covered our brown corduroy pillows with colorful scarves using rubber bands. I remember writing in my journal, “I want to be an interior designer or a lifestyle designer or I for sure want to be in the circus.” Luckily I don’t have any skills desired by a circus! So here I am, an interior designer. I believe everybody should have a home that reflects their personal style. I love getting to know you and working with you to interpret your personality and style into your home. Long live good design.
- I have a Bachelor’s of Interior Design with a minor in Architecture from Texas Tech University (ranked 7th in the country in interior design schools when I graduated in 2002).
- I started off University as an Architecture major, I had no idea that a person could major in Interior Design (my decision to switch majors with the best decision ever).
- I’ve designed homes for high profile clients such as an NFL team owner and a candidate for Texas Governor.
- My first design project out of design school was project manager for a 8,000 sq ft Destin Florida home while working as design assistant for Sherry Hayslip of Hayslip Design Associates.
- One of my career highlights is designing a 12,000 sq ft Memorial area Houston home.
- I’ve flown on 4 client owned private planes and 2 helicopters getting to clients projects. This is a serious perk of my job.
- I am a wizard with color schemes.
- I will have my own line of designer fabrics one day.
- I get my most brilliant ideas while driving.
- I’m shy & introverted, I hope my quite thinking isn’t misunderstood for disinterest or uncaring, it’s quite the opposite. I deeply care for each client I work with & project I design.
